The Real True Hollywood Story of Jackie Gold by Dinah Manoff. Yes, fiction! Once I finished Lee Grant’s memoir, it  made sense to round out my knowledge of the mother-daughter duo by  reading Manoff’s first effort. You may recognize Manoff as one of the  Pink Ladies from Grease or from the barrier-breaking sitcom, Soap.  Manoff isn’t active in show business of late but used many life  experiences to craft this clever and well-written story. Smart Hollywood women. Five stars,  baby!
