Our mission is to connect the dots of TV and feminism to American culture and politics. This massive effort by Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists is a milestone moment in TV history.

When I first started podcasting, it was fun to present a deep interpretation of leadership in The Closer and Betty White’s prolific career.
High Profile Unions
Most episodes of my podcast reference a TV series or single episode. They are in fact the work product of countless union workers to write, film and perform all the production details. And that’s just so a union actor to do their work. The industry is rocked by the union strikes of the Summer of 2023. Both unions’ strike platforms focus on streaming revenue, contracts, credits and the impact of artificial intelligence. A few major conglomerates represent the networks and production companies. SAG-AFTRA and the WGA issues are similar to the changing labor landscape in other industries.
Virtual Picket Line
Family members and I have been proud union members. So, out of respect for the important issues being negotiated by the WGA episodes since July have focused on topics other than a series or specific episodes. This practice will continue until there’s a settlement for both SAG-AFTRA WGA unions.
