A podcast series to feature Margaret Cho and women of color working in television is coming to Advanced TV Herstory! Since COVID lockdown I’ve connected with people and organizations that share the podcast’s mission and spirit. It’s been a creative time.  

I can’t wait for you to hear our upcoming podcast series of 5 interviews with women who’ve overcome –isms to advance their careers in entertainment. It’s a collaborative effort with Reel Women’s Ashley Pacini, and will feature wisdom and thoughts from within the industry.

Ashley and I believe that actually, the lessons apply to nearly all professions where opportunity and power are still disproportionately held by white men. We host high school teacher/producer Danielle Earle, crew member Sanicole Young and others. TV pioneer, comedian and author Margaret Cho joined us to discuss racism and her show, 1994-95’s All American Girl. This series offers depth that that stems from collaboration. Stay tuned.
